情緒和想像力
在職場裡面不是一個人做事做好就好，要完成一件事或多或少會和其他人有關聯，事情通常還沒完成會因為跟自己喜歡或不喜歡的人有一些交流，在過程中就會帶出一些情緒出來，負面情緒會阻礙事情的正常發展，嚴重時也會讓事情放緩無法前進，最不願意發生的就是外境實際上沒有這麼糟的情況下以負面的想像力來處理事情(事件被定義為負面時)，反而吸引負面的效果，外境也跟著變壞。
那怎麼辦呢? 覺察自己的情緒感受打哪兒來應該是唯一的捷徑，在個人實像的本質裡有這麼一段是說明情緒反應與信念的關係，運用相反的情緒引導自己往正面方向前進的方法：
情緒和想像力兩者都跟著信念走。當某個信念消失了，你就不會再懷抱那同樣的情緒，而想像力也轉向其他方向。信念自動的動員起你情感和想像力的力量。
很少有純理性的信念，當你檢查意識心的內容時務必要知道或認出 那些與某個特定意念相連的情感或想像的種種內涵。要改變信念，可藉以相反信念取代的方式， 這也還有好些不同的方法。其中一個特別的方法是<三管齊下> 首先，你要針對那個想要改變的信念，生出一種[與該信念引起的情緒相反]的情緒，此外，你要把自己的想像力轉到[與受該信念控制的想像力相反]的方向上。 同時，你有意地向自己擔保那個不令人滿意的信念，只是對於現實的一個意念，而非現實本身的一面。
你要明白意念並非靜止不動的，情緒與想像左右了他們的方向，而或加強或否定他們。
你要以一種遊戲的態度有意地玩自己的意識心，就像孩子玩遊戲一樣，在其中你有一陣子完全忽略所謂的現實，而”假裝”你真心想要的才是真的。
